Manuel Pichardo Marcano is originally from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and is now a Postdoctoral research fellow at Fisk University and Vanderbilt University as part of the Establishing Multimessenger astronomy Inclusive Training (EMIT) program. Manuel’s research is focused on transient sources and the study of stellar remnants in binary systems, especially those that harbor white dwarfs.
